The performance is the result of a joint artist residency with Strefa Wolnosłowa. Mariia Lozova - choreographer, performer and dancer of Afghan-Ukrainian origin and Joanna Żaboklicka - Polish visual artist talk about the multi-level relationship in their two-person micro-society. Together they ask: how are the relations between us, not only symbolically, but also in the layer of everyday life?
Performance is a rehearsal, a reflection and a feeling in which the artists let things happen. The sculpture, which can be rotated at will, becomes a dynamic tool for connection, modification and exploration around new relationships and the ephemeral notion of community.
The artists invite everyone to an open creative dialogue in an atmosphere open to ignorance and uncertainty: together we can lean into proximity and community and explore how two unique identities can resonate together.
The residency is curated by Łukasz Wójcicki.
